Our Story

Tribology plays a vital role in many of Denmark’s leading industries—from wind energy and pumps to advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, and miniaturized electronics. DanTrib was established to bring relevant expertise together and create a dedicated national community for tribology. Inspired by long-standing tribology communities in other countries such as Germany and Sweden, we aim to connect researchers, engineers, students, and companies, enabling knowledge exchange and new collaborations.

Through seminars and workshops, scientific events, industry engagement, networking, and education, DanTrib seeks to raise awareness of tribology’s industrial importance, address real-world challenges, and inspire and train the next generation of tribologists—contributing to innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness in Danish industry.
